An art manifesto for our changing times.
At the end of the movie Apocalypse Now, after hacking Kurtz to death during a ceremonial ritual, Willard picks up Kurtz’s manuscript and walks past the awestruck indigenous tribe who now view him with deity-like reverence.
The manuscript contains Kurtz’s dark summation and inner thoughts on the war, famously featuring the scrawled or written phrase: “Drop the bomb. Exterminate them all!”
