Joseph Matheny successfully did just that, and the Liminal Trilogy grapples with the four decades of fallout and history since.
Statio Numero completes a multimedia project that has traveled from ebook to audiobook to PDF, integrating the prior forms into itself. Providing music to establish ambiance, videos that advance the plot, and FTP servers with narrative clues, the reader finds themselves joining the protagonists in a disjointed timeline and feeling uncertain about the dividing line between story and history.
Along the journey, we are presented with revelations about the methods: Antero Alli’s Paratheater, chemical derangement of the senses, and lucid dreaming are just a few of them. Matheny provides warnings to be taken seriously by all who are willing to risk catastrophe for what they seek. We get glimpses of events that might have occurred during the brief corporate embrace of Alternate Reality Gaming, before the sponsors moved on to Q-Anon and kin.

Did Joseph Matheny & Jason Nunes create Station Numero, or did Station Numero create them and the strange, wondrous world it opened within its pages. When you finish the Statio Numero, go to a place you have never been, drive or walk to a crossroads, a fork in the road, a place with a few paths. See which path pulls you……Then STOP, close your eyes for a moment, Then open them and quickly choose another without thinking and GO.
